After training for any verbatim work, whether in disciplinary hearings or for Speech-To-Text (STT) Reporting, you should shadow a qualified reporter for several weeks before attempting the BIVR membership examination.
As a student member trainee reporters will get a lot of assistance from other members, especially those members who run their own firms, either with court or private contracts.
