What is a verbatim reporter?
Someone who records verbatim, either by machine or pen shorthand, the words spoken in a proceeding of a which a permanent record is being kept.
What does it require to be a verbatim reporter.
The ability to write shorthand at a miminum 180 wpm, a good command of the English language, dedication, hard work, the ability to work irregular hours and a strong sense of responsibility.

What speed do I need to be a verbatim reporter?
A minimum of 180 wpm.

On the Home page click on "Reporter Search" and search by type of job or location to find a BIVR accredited reporter.
